Warranty Terms
1. LIMITED PRODUCT WARRANTY
Each product manufactured and sold by MIKROTECHNA PRAHA a.s. (hereinafter referred to as MKT) is warranted to the original purchaser, sold by us and / or our agent, to be free from defects in material and workmanship under normal use, subject to the conditions and requirements of paragraph 3 through 8 below.
2. LIMITED SERVICE WARRANTY
Each product repaired or overhauled by MKT will be free of defects in material and workmanship, under normal use, subject to the conditions and requirements of paragraph 3 through 8 below.
3. MKT will, at its option, either repair or replace an item manufactured or overhauled by MKT that is found to be defective under the Limited Product or Service Warranty within the time period specified below.
- New products: 24 months from the date of sale
- Overhauled products: 6 months from the date of overhaul
When MKT provides a warranty repair or warranty replacement for a defective new product, the original warranty is continued only within the time corresponding to the period of the original warranty.
Bench test / recertification: No warranty shall apply, and if no defect is found with the returned unit, the customer may be held responsible for the cost of testing.
4. MKT will be obliged to execute the adequate warranty repair or warranty replacement within 30 days after providing a written acknowledgment of the customer’s warranty claim report.
5. It shall be the customer’s responsibility when returning a product for warranty consideration to:
a) Advise the date of installation.
b) Advise the date of failure, hours of operation and aircraft used on.
c) Advise the nature of failure.
d) Return the unit before the applicable warranty expires.
e) Return the units with no broken seals, alterations, signs of abuse or improper installations.
6. Cost of transportation, removal and installation are excluded.
7. This warranty shall not apply to any unit or part thereof which has not been installed in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions, or has been subjected to misuse, contamination, negligence or accident.
8. This warranty shall not apply to any unit or part thereof which has been subjected to any alteration, modification or repair by anyone other than the producer or those specifically authorised by the producer.
9. MKT’s liability under the Limited Product Warranty or Limited Service Warranty is limited to the net price paid to MKT by the customer for such product or service.
